Sigfox Opens New Office in Dallas to Serve as North America Hub for U.S. Network Deployment
Dallas will provide an ideal central location to answer customers’ needs for IoT solutions.
Sigfox today announces the opening of its third U.S. office in Dallas, Texas, which will serve as a hub for its growing network team. Sigfox is supported by global investors like Salesforce Ventures and Intel Capital. The company broke ground in the U.S. in 2015 opening its U.S. headquarters in Boston, MA, along with a satellite office in San Francisco.
The company will be using the new office space to expand its U.S. network team to meet the growing demands of Sigfox’s ongoing national network deployment. The new office, located at 5001 LBJ Freeway, will be led by Fakri Sadeh, Vice President of Networks for Sigfox in North America.
“This is a significant operational expansion for us in the United-States. Dallas is an ideal location to serve as our network hub, which will greatly benefit the team who is working hard to meet our aggressive U.S. network deployment” said Sadeh.
“We’re bringing a highly-experience team on board here in Dallas, and as the 7th largest market in the country, we’re truly excited for the potential that exists for us here to rapidly deploy our network and meet customer demands.”
In the Texas region, Sigfox has ongoing projects in various verticals including oil and gas, healthcare, and smart cities, both tracking and monitoring assets. In addition, the company is aiming to address supply chain and logistics customers who are active in the region and looking to further develop IoT-enabled capabilities. Sigfox network coverage in the greater Texas region currently includes the major metro areas of Dallas, Austin, Permian Basin, Houston, Fort Worth, Galveston, and several areas just outside Texas along the Gulf Coast.
Today, the Sigfox network covers more than 60,000 square miles in the U.S., resulting in coverage of more than 20% of the population. The network is deployed in 19 regions, including major metros such as San Francisco, Chicago, Atlanta, New York City, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas.
